Top and Skirt - NewLook 6918

Hi

I finnished this skirt a few weeks ago. I am very happy with the pattern form NewLook 6918 as it fits well is easy to adjust and has deep large pockets which are great for work. (Not the best photo). The fabric is Oscar Dela Renta which I was very excited to find in my price range from Linda at Emma One Sock http://www.emmaonesock.com/index.htm.

The top is an adaption of Vogue 8596. The cotton fabric is also Emma One Sock This pattern has been fantastic for me I have made many addaptions. I have used it for evening and day wear.

Silk Summer Dress - Simplicity 2724

I have just finnished a silk summer black dress. The fabric is from my stash. I am really happy with the fit which is not always the case. I expect to wear this to work and Church which means it will be very useful. So often my dresses are for only one occasion. The Simplicity pattern is straight foward and has minimall fit issues for me except I needed to shorten by one inch as I am five feet 4 inches or 164 cm tall.

Summer Tunic and pants V8504

Back again after a long break. My new years resolution is to blog on a regular basis, to improve my knowledge of blogging.

This blouse is made out of cotton organza and the trousers are linen from the vogue pattern V8504. I have found this patter very useful for the hot climate of Perth Australia were the adverage summer day is 33 degrees. The pants fits well and blouse is simple an quick to make.

I also have a black version I wear in Spring and Autumn with a scarf for colour.
